The Guardian of Cranbrook Manor

Mystery Novel, The Guardian of Cranbrook Manor is about an evil sinister man called The Governor. The Governor is a crime boss who attempts to run the town of Cranbrook Louisiana. He is feared by many as he uses his henchmen in order to intimidate the town folk into doing his bidding. The timeline on this novel is based in the early 1900's in the swampy land of Louisiana. The story is being told by an elderly couple who worked for The Governor. The Governor is a very cruel and heartless man who treats his wives terribly even unto the point of un-aliving one of them. The book is filled with suspense and mystery as people try to understand who this Guardian is and where he comes from. The town becomes enraged when he forces them to commit heinous crimes such as murder in order to stay on his, " good side". The Gov. lives a life of luxury at the towns expense gambling and hanging out with harlots. The town grows disgusted and very angry with the way The Gov. does his bidding as well as the way he treats the young girls and his children. Read more
