The Ambush x Nike Dunk High SP “Deep Royal” is a Summer 2021 collaboration between Ambush’s Yoon Ahn and Nike on the retro lifestyle shoe. Based in Japan, Ambush is a high end luxury brand consisting of the husband and wife duo of Verbal and Yoon Ahn. The pairing has brought its contemporary aesthetic to Nike and Converse releases over the years, most notably on the Dunk. The “Deep Royal” features the same classic two-tone color block as the college basketball inspired Dunks from Nike’s “Be True to Your School” pack from 1985. Here, white leather can be found on the perforated toe, mid-panel, and collar. Overlays in buttery soft Deep Royal leather appear on the forefoot and eyelets. Raised leather panels on the collar and heel add a future-forward touch. Ambush supplies the Nike Dunk with an oversized rubber Swoosh on either side that extends past the heel. Dual Swoosh and Ambush branding appears on the tongue tag and embossed Ambush detailing on the rubber molding on heel. Release date: Summer 2021.
